How a Gas Furnace Works

When you set your home’s thermostat to your desired indoor temperature, it’s the job of the furnace to heat up when the temperature drops below your desired temp.  When this happens, the gas is delivered to the burner, the flame is ignited inside the combustion chamber, and soon, the furnace fan pulls air into the furnace filter, past the heat, and blows the freshly-warmed air into the home’s duct system, which is distributed throughout your house.
