Our experience was professional and timely. Once the technician was packing up I asked him for some advice on power savings. He advised that I set the temperature to whatever is comfortable and keep it there to be the most efficient. He said ā€œit’s common sense reallyā€ which I didn’t like how that was worded but I disregard led the comment and thanked him for his time. I would use this company again.
We are always please with service and repairs. Clint is very knowledgeable and helpful

Technician was professional, prompt and knowledgeable. He was in an out in under an hour with the problem resolved. A little pricey but worth the piece of mind. I signed up for the annual service plan because it is worth the $79 cost.

Updated Review:I have received nothing but excellent service from SSI Hvac in the recent years. Though slightly on expensive side, it’s the money we’ll spent with qualified technicians who do a great job with excellent customer service.Followup for the review below:Mr. Todd from SSI called and offered an amicable resolution. He offered discounted install of steam humidifier and extended warranty options. I agreed to pay an additional $ 2700, which I thought was fair and I never intended to take advantage of them. The followup visit is scheduled for Dec 7th 2017 to correct the issues. Thanks SSI for efforts to correct it and changing my rating to A. Trustworthy company.Description of work:Installed a new trane XV20i heat pump with humidifier and Air scrubber (Date of installation: 11/4/2016)Installation went fine and I consider the crew professional and I paid cash upfront. Chris who gave quote was excellent. On the day of installation, we noticed that there was a Whistle sound coming. Technician Brandon added a return air vent at the duct work in 1 st level of home. The noice still persisted. We had a call from lead technician Chris who noticed the sound and suggested some modifications. The crew came back and made few changes. The noice still persisted. Another senior tech came after two calls and said the noice was not normal. He made few suggestions and they were not implemented. I called and setup a summer inspection few months ago and another tech came and said the only option would be to upgrade the humidifier with another $1400 (aprilair) and indicated the price is after prorating the amount that I paid for earlier humidifier. He shut down my current humidifier to prevent that sound. He mentioned that I have to do it before the one year window. I called 2 weeks earlier and left voice mails for sales manager and have not heard back. I spoke with trane and they say that if a trane humidifier is properly installed it should not make such sounds. I had high regard for the company but ignoring my calls is what made me post this review. Hope they can set this right,

Came out to customers home to do a cooling inspection. Thermostat is operational and good. Amperage and voltages are good. Blower wheel is clean. Filter is dirty, replaced with customer supplied filter. Temp split is good. Coils are clean. Flushed out condensate drain line. No wires are loose or showing any signs of burns. Outside units amperage and voltage unit is good. Capacitor is within range. Contactor is not showing any signs of being pitted or burns. Coils are getting dirty, need to do an out door coil cleaning. Blade is spinning freely. Disconnect is good. Recommend surge protectors to help out with any surge in and out of home. Looked over hp system for attic equipment. Turned thermostat on for cooling. Indoor unit functions and seems like unit is calling for a demand. I go outside to look over hp and just noticed that outside condenser fan is running. But compressor is not working. I then hook refrigerant gauges to system and find that unit has standing pressures in equipment. I then checked amps on compressor and getting 0. I then go and check ohms on compressor and it’s not shorted to ground. Test compressor terminals and found windings in compressor has failed. I used mega ohm meter and it’s reading bad. Looks like compressor will need to to be replaced. But customer said other company told her that txv has failed. Our company will know extent of other issues until compressor is replaced first. System could have multiple problems and issues with system. After performing my diagnosis on I have shut off disconnect outside. Waive Diagnostic Fee

Check system for cooling inspection. Replace customer filter that we had already there. Flush the drain line several times to make sure they’re gonna be no blockages for the drainage. Check the blower motor assembly. Checked the blower motor itself and it all looks OK. Checked indoor evaporator coil. It’s clean. Went outside to take a look at the outdoor unit. Check the compressor outdoor fan motor run capacitor pole contactor and all electrical components. Check the condenser coils found them to be a little dirty. Checked all the refrigerant pressures and pressures were 117/283 with sub cooling at 8 degrees and superheat at 17 degrees. Temperature drop at 20 degrees. Thermostat functioning. I did make solution recommendations on estimates. Equipment functioning at this time.
